Haven’t been here in ages! Not been able to afford the internet but I’m at my parents for the weekend so I thought I’d update since I had a good appointment with a psychiatrist this morning. She is referring me to Charing Cross (London Gender Identity Clinic). I have to wait for funding which she said the length of the wait depends but that it may take up to a year. She advised I get voluntry work (as Daniel) as soon as possible because she saw that as the only thing that could hold me back. She was really honest and said she is happy to support me. It’s just such a relief, I’ve been waiting such a long time and to finally get things kick started and hearing my process was almost unreal.

I’ve also been going to family therapy with my parents and that’s going well. Beginning to understand my parents are just worried rather than not liking me/trans people. They are understanding me more and are coming around slightly. Next step is to tell the rest of my family which I’m nervous about but ready for.

I think that’s all, I’m still doing computers and the guinea pigs are getting big now. They don’t sit still long enough for decent photos but I’ll try take some soon!
